perhaps i shouldnt have rejoiced over the fact that yellowbadge dont have eoys this year so fast.

the tests that we are to have this term are piling up.
and we dont have as much notice as the sectwos n threes!
already there was a geog test.
then came the two maths reviews tests.
plus now we're having a physics 'revision paper'

whats the difference between tests and exams anyway?
a test is 'A series of questions, problems, or physical responses designed to determine knowledge, intelligence, or ability. '

while an exam is 'A set of questions or exercises testing knowledge or skill', according to dictionary.com

well arent they the same thing altogether?

exams just sound scarier, harder due to the fact that they just feel more 'official'. especially since if they are year-end examinations, cos you get tested not only on a few chapters, but ALL the things that you have learnt so far in the year.

well the two maths so-called 'review papers', when you add the chapters tested for both tests together, cover the entire year's syllabus . AND the physics so-called 'REVISION PAPER' also covers the whole year's syllabus.

we did physics waaaaaaay back in term 2, and for one month of holiday and one whole term of biology we didnt even TOUCH that subject.
and barely two weeks into the new term which we expected to be fun and slackk cos we dont have exams, you come and tell us we have a revision paper for physics.

we dont have exams, we have revision papers.

IT DOESNT MAKE SENSE!!!! it's like just giving an exam another name,cos we are not actually supposed to be doing any exams, so now we shall have a REVISION PAPER, shall we?

right.
RIGHT.

i guess that it IS hard to completely move away from something that we have all been accustomed with for a long time all of a sudden.
anyway, how many of us for the past 6 years of our schooling years havent had exams every single year?

the best that we can come to is skipping CAs and only having the SAs, but that's it.

even in kindergarten a great number of kids are already having tests, tingxie, spelling etc.

the teachers and some students too, i might add, just need the so-called sense of security exams give them.

it is hard to change compeltely all of a sudden, i guess.

BUT STILL. i totally feel like tearing my hair out.
i feel cheated.
hwo can they do this to us?
we are not gullible little kids you know.
we know how to read BETWEEN the lines.

let them call it what they want.
we shall just go to chool every day, pay attention during classes, work hard for project work, be innovative and creative, go home study and mugg for exams (or tests or review papers or WHATEVER YOU CALL THEM)

get the results and they're happy.
thats the first step.

i shall stop ranting about that topic anymore.
school today was spastic!
teachers keep calling me ! blehh.
first period ppp. (hahaha guess who huhh) was saying stuff about us having to write an article about interviewing a member of the school due to our previous experience during the sep. hols about the reporter thing.

then she wanted to split us into groups herself cos she says must have a chance for others to show their leadership, then those who always do with their friends then always get high marks then other weaker ones all get low marks all the time and stuff (crapp right?) anywya then she mentioned tracy's name then after that my name for some stupid reason like dunno what crap she sayign lahh yeah.

then during physics mrs khong was telling us about the revision paper and then im like leaning over to em c. (next-next) to me to complainn hahaha then shes like pay attn! what's your name?? got what thing so interesting to share with us?

hahah so i say lorr whee. she asked me to say one what (:

after recess TWO hours of mrs. c
two periods of english followed by two periods of lit.
i wonder how i survived primary school with the smae teahcer teachign us for the almsot the entire day.

then she called me too, i think is the sparrow question cos i was telling cass something i think.

tsk! i have evil partners who make me have to temptation to crapp with them!! and end up getting the disapproval of teachers!

french was okay, doing orale on wed.
i have one ingenius way of acing the conversation part for orale!!
wanna hear?

YOU: -shake head frantically- je ne comprends pas!! je ne comprends pas!!!!

eventually the teacher will be impressed with how well you can say the phrase, 'je ne comprends pas'

which, basically, means 'i dont understand'

it's logical right?
a conversation: teacher asks something, you reply something.
it can be anything!
so je ne comprends pas!!!
