last official day of school yesterday. it was alright i guess (: there was miss choo's farewell which involved songs, poetry, videos and speeches and afterwards prize presentation which was ermm not very interesting. the only fun part was ooh-ing at the people who got a lot of awards like PEILIN who got like 4 awards hahaha. or maybe more. i don't know. we all stood up and cheered for her :D
after that, break. we went to the gym first for cca records. i improved from last year(: and they havent included xiaopin yet so i look forward to more points lala :D i need more CIP hours though gahhhh. we didnt eat at break instead went to class and slacked. its the last time we can go into class like that, as if the class belonged to USSS. next year its the blue badges who're gonna occupy it alr ):
returned to hall for investiture which was haha quite nice but it was sad that the next year sec 3 prefects/monitors did not get invested (wrong word, but, anyway) cos its not even next year yet! the guests were very not responsive though and these 4 guys at the side (don't know what school) didnt even smile or anything throughout the whole thing. anyway when we got dismissed some hugging took place again. sigh... hugged everyone who was leaving and more and kaili teared! aww.
after that jane mingee kaili and me left for plaza sing (: xinyu was going to come with us at first but in the end she and vanessa decided to go home because she wanted to do her bead stuff. anyway. XINYU MISSED OUT SO MUCH. haha.
there were two highlights of the trip! so first we went PS and were hungryyy. made a beeline for pastamania and shared baked rice with jane. kaili still didnt learn to order food -.- saw hilary! mingee was trying to avoid hilary who had the same bag as her hahahahhaa. we walked around for a bit after that (still avoiding hilary and co) and ended up at yamaha, looking at guitars and then these sets of tribal-looking drums.
then when we were turning to go off already this guy suddenly came right in front of us. seriously. like. IN YOUR FACE kind of front. he looked about 17, 18 and was wearing a sweatshirt and went, "erm hi. excuse me.." and we were all abit staring at him and glancing at each other. didnt know what to expect. kaili and jane thought he wanted some kind of donation, mingee thought it was a survey and i thought it looked like he wanted our phone numbers or something for truth or dare. he appeared quite suspicious. then we were all distracted by this group of crazy kids tearing across the corridor. they looked seriously mad and we were all laughing hurr then afterwards the guy talked to us again.
he asked for our names... and we still didnt know what he wanted to do. but we played along anyway and afterwards he was like, "hey actually. im a cheater. would it be cool if i.." etc etc and he took out a deck of cards. and we realised that he was a street magician. AHH WAY COOL like those david blaine type of thing except not as good as him duhh. he had his friend with him who wasnt as pro but who also was qutie good. they did some tricks for like , 15 mins? hurr. which involved turning two cards that mingee chose into joker cards, making a mark on his hand which apparently was supposed to show the card that we chose but in the end failed (he got the wrong card), making a card that i chose go into this clear plastic ziploc bag and making a card that jane chose go into his show! ahh. but he distracted us beforehand. there were some other tricks that i can't recall already and his friend did some others too and all of them were like COOL. i like the jumping card thing! he folded this card and made it jump up on its own : DD
we were kind of a weird audience, haha. we were all really very hyper during the tricks and the guy kept on saying jane was weird/spastic. haha. and i didnt really seem too amazed by the tricks even though i thought they were cool. and i exposed one of his tricks at one point -.- haha. but still. IT WAS COOL.
how often do you even meet people on the street who talk to you and take time to entertain you with card tricks? seriously. that guy and his friend were very cool in that they had an interest, a hobby and don't spend time unproductively wandering through the malls (like us) and instead give entertainment to people! imagine if in singapore, you can just walk down the street and see people busking openly- dancing, singing, making music, whatever, performing street magic. singapore lacks this type of stuff. boring singapore. every day study study study take exam exam exam.
so afterwards we talked to them a bit, said thanks and said goodbye, then they walked off and we walked off too. WE REGRETTED not even knowing their names! AND NOT EVEN TAKING A PHOTO EVEN THOUGH JANE HAD HER CAMERA WITH HER. gahhhhh. then we wandered aimlessly around again (with our minds on the street magicians), ate lemon gelato, then went to the food court to talk a bit where (second highlihgt) WE MET MOLLY. and a woman who looks like her sister BECAUSE SHES GOT THE SAME HAIRSTYLE AS MOLLY. even though her hairs a lot less poofier. anyway we saw her from far away and we were all like molly! molly! and laughing at her and her 'sister'. when she came nearer we pretended to be talking and acted all surprised when we saw her and we all greeted her (haha so nice tight)-.-
went home with jane, then i ate chicken takoyaki and fell asleep. only woke up at like 10.30pm and then i bathed, read book, eat chocolate (:
woke up quite early today. I DID HOMEOWRK. whee. did the english compre worksheet (they gave us HOMEWORK ytd) and did the physics homework. i realised that i completely forgot everything that i mugged during the EOY period. all the formulas? gone. all the amphoteric oxides/alkalis/acids/chemical equations? GONE. all the idioms? GONE.
everything all gonnnnnnnne lalalala.
going to slack now. hehe.
STREET MAGICIANS AT PLAZA SINGAPURA ON 17TH NOV drop a note if you happen to see this. haha. though i highly doubt it.
